Welcome to another entry where I write about my journey playing Splinterlands! As I write this, the first season of a split Modern and Wild format of gameplay has just started. This splits off the newer cards into the Modern format, with Wild format being all of the cards. But, as this article is meant to cover the past week’s results that will be the main focus.
This was a particularly short season, as they adjusted it to end earlier in order to have time to patch in the update before the weekend. I did open 100 Chaos Legion packs after the Grandmaster Rathe legendary Life summoner was released, but I covered that in my previous article. On to the breakdown of this past week:
Daily Quest Rewards:
Daily Quest # 662. Got Earth Focus. I received 64 Dark Energy Crystals (DEC), an Ever-Hungry Skull (common monster), and a Chaos Legion Pack!
InvestYGator got Life Focus (and all my opponents were playing Earth…). I got 78 (2 + 28 + 48) DEC, a Gold potion, and a Venari Heatsmith (common monster).
Daily Quest # 663. Got Life Focus. I got 224 (16 + 32 + 128 + 48) DEC, a Legendary potion, an Ever-Hungry Skull, an Exploding Rats (rare monster), and a Chaos Legion pack!
InvestYGator got Fire Focus… re-rolled to Water Focus. I got 240 (10 + 150 + 18 + 40 + 8 + 14) DEC, 2 Gold potions, a Merdhampir (common monster), and a Gargoya Lion (common monster).
Daily Quest # 664. Got Fire Focus… re-rolled to Dragon Focus! I received a Pelacor Bandit (common monster), a Gargoya Lion, a Naga Assassin (rare monster), and a Chaos Legion pack!
InvestyGator got Death Focus. I received 424 (12 + 12 + 400) DEC, 3 Legendary potions, a Pelacor Conjurer (common monster), 2 Merdhampir, a Venari Seedsmith (rare monster), a Venari Wavesmith (rare monster), a Twilight Basilisk (rare monster), and a Tide Biter (epic monster)!
Daily Quest # 665. Got Dragon Focus! I got 112 DEC, a Gold potion, a Pelacor Bandit, 2 Pelacor Mercenaries (common monster), a Pelacor Deceiver (common monster), a Naga Assassin, a Dhampir Infiltrator (rare monster), and a gold foil Venari Wavesmith!
InvestYGator got Earth Focus. I got 76 (36 + 4 + 18 + 2 + 16) DEC, 2 Legendary potions, 2 Gold potions, a Gargoya Lion, a Pelacor Deciever, a Pelacor Bandit, and a Venari Wavesmith.
Daily Quest # 666. Got Water Focus… re-rolled to Fire focus. I received 336 DEC, 2 Pelacor Mercenaries, a Twilight Basilisk, and a Vampiric Blossom (rare monster).
InvestYGator got Water Focus. I received 62 (42 + 20) DEC, 4 Gold potions, 2 Merdhampir, a Venari Seedsmith, and a Vampiric Blossom.
Daily Quest # 667. Got Water Focus… re-rolled to Earth Focus. I got 2,000 (464 + 48 + 48 + 1024 + 16 + 400) DEC, a Gold potion, a Legendary potion, a Venari Heatsmith, an Ever-Hungry Skull, and 2 Chaos Legion packs!
InvestYGator got Life Focus… re-rolled to Death Focus. I got 120 (14 + 60 + 4 + 16 + 16 + 10) DEC, a Legendary potion, a Venari Heatsmith, a Gargoya Lion, a Pelacor Bandit, a Venari Seedsmith, and a Venator Kinjo (legendary monster)!

Guild Brawls:
Guild Brawl #90, playing Bronze League Gold Foil Only. Not a great outing for the guild, as we came in 6th place out of our grouping.

Guild Brawl #91, playing Bronze League Gold Foil Only. A much better showing this time around, as we came in 2nd place overall! I wrote down my opponents, but apparently failed to save off the links to the battles!
The Rest:
No tournaments, as usual, though I should try to get back into those. I did trade away 4 extra Thaddius Brood (Death summoner) and 1 extra General Sloan (Life summoner) from opening those 100 packs earlier in the week. I traded them for 2 Venator Kinjo (before getting one as a daily reward), a Tarsa (Fire summoner, to max out InvestYGator’s copy for Silver league), and 2 Dax Paragon (epic monster).
As usual, I remained in Silver with my InvestYGator account and went up to Diamond on my main. I got a few more chests in Silver, and arguably some better luck with cards. The Diamond chests did have more DEC though, with their higher multiplier.
So this week I went from 0 copies of Venator Kinjo to 4! Only a couple more and I might actually play him in some situations. That’s about it for this week! Next week I’ll try to write up my thoughts on the Modern and Wild changes. Thanks for reading this post!
