Welcome to another article where I write about my journey playing Splinterlands! This very long ranked season has finally come to an end. I had forgotten to advance into Gold League on my alternate account last season, so was actually playing for Silver tier chests this season on that account. My main account was still playing for Diamond chests, though I spent the majority of the season playing in Gold League.
The only real news since last time was the introduction of a new Guild Points system, replacing the previous straight donation of Dark Energy Crystals (DEC) to the guild. Guild Points are still bought with DEC, but you can take 90% of them with you if you quit a guild. The 5th Anniversary Guild Points purchasing event is still going on at the time of this writing, with about two weeks remaining.
A lot of things are supposed to be coming out “soon”, like the next iteration of Land and the Tower Defense side game. But, with very little else going on, we can just move on to the breakdown of the last half of this season. Plus, there are lot of screenshots of season rewards to fit in at the end!
Daily Quest Rewards:
Daily Quest # 984. Got Flying Focus on my main account, playing in Gold League. I received 0.316 Splintershard Tokens (SPS), 9 Gold potions, 4 (2 + 2) Fungus Flingers (common monster), and 3 gold foil Possessed Puppets (common monster).
InvestYGator, my Silver League alternate account, got Life Focus. I got 1.043 (0.163 + 0.069 + 0.811) SPS, 12 Merits, a Riverboat Captain (rare monster), and an Eternan Brune (rare summoner).
Daily Quest # 985. Got Death Focus. I received 18 (6 + 12) Legendary potions, 13 (9 + 4) Gold potions, 357 (100 + 67 + 190) Merits, 2 Lobb Lowland (rare summoner), and 3 gold foil Musa Saline (legendary monster)!!
InvestYGator got Defend Focus. I got 0.227 (0.124 + 0.103) SPS, 3 (2 + 1) Legendary potions, 2 Drybone Barbarian (common monster), a gold foil Drybone Barbarian, and an Iziar (legendary monster)!
Daily Quest # 986. Got Anti Magic Focus. I received 13.315 (0.477 + 0.25 + 10.084 + 2.504) SPS, 15 (9 + 6) Gold potions, and 44 Merits.
InvestYGator got Healing Focus. I got 0.3 (0.099 + 0.061 + 0.14) SPS, 3 (2 + 1) Legendary potions, 3 Gold potions, a Terraceous Grunt (common monster), and a Lobb Lowland.
Daily Quest # 987. Got Anti Melee Focus. I received 1.112 (0.474 + 0.638) SPS, 4 Possessed Puppets, a Terraceous Grunt, 2 Coastal Sentry (common monster), and a Chaos Legion pack!
InvestYGator got Defend Focus. I got 0.427 (0.16 + 0.097 + 0.17) SPS, 32 (16 + 16) Merits, 5 (2 + 1 + 2) Legendary potions, 2 Imperial Knights (common monster), 3 Firecaller, a Ravenhood Warden (rare monster), and a Thane Newsong (epic monster)!

Daily Quest # 989. Got Death Focus. I received 1.456 (0.672 + 0.247 + 0.537) SPS, 23 (12 + 6 + 5) Legendary potions, 3 Gobson Bombers (common monster), and 4 Madcap Magus (rare monster). I finished getting back into Diamond III in Modern league!
InvestYGator got Exploits Focus. I got 0.887 (0.628 + 0.068 + 0.085 + 0.106) SPS, 96 Merits, 2 Wily Coyotian (common monster), 2 Possessed Puppet, a Dumacke Orc (common monster), a Lobb Lowland, a Venari Marksrat (rare monster), and a Kulu Mastermind (legendary monster)!
Daily Quest # 990. Got Life Focus and getting Diamond chests. I received 358 Merits, 2 Will-O-Wisp (epic monster), and 2 Clockwork Aide (epic monster)!

Daily Quest # 991. Got Impair Focus and Diamond chests. I received 2.52 SPS, 33 (12 + 21) Legendary potions, and 3 gold foil Dumacke Orc.
InvestYGator got Earth Focus. I got 4.795 (0.124 + 2.025 + 1.9 + 0.084 + 0.162 + 0.5) SPS, 4 (2 + 2) Legendary potions, 4 (2 + 2) Gold potions, 24 Merits, and 3 Firecaller.
Daily Quest # 992. Got Water Focus and Diamond chests. I received 2.206 SPS, 67 Merits, 17 Legendary potions, and 11 Ferox Defenders (common monster).
InvestYGator got Flying Focus. I got 0.075 SPS, 2 (1 + 1) Legendary potions, 3 Gold potions, 36 (24 + 12) Merits, 2 Ferox Defenders, 4 (2 + 2) Drybone Barbarians, a Gobson Bomber, and a War Pegasus (rare monster).

The guild recruited one new person, but they don’t seem to be signing up for brawls. Granted, they may be a newer player without a lot of cards. I did get enough Merits to buy one more Gladiator pack:
The Rest:
No tournaments or trading this week. The CAAD Chaos Legion pool finally sold all the extra cards it had gotten and split up the DEC, after a fair amount of prodding from the people that participated. We’re all still waiting for the SPS that got earned by that account for selling the card design to also be split up.
Even with that, I’m still about 300,000 DEC short of what I may need for land. Granted, if I use some lower than max level monsters, it may reduce how much DEC I need. I will still likely need to either sell something or convert some SPS when land 1.5 does come out.
For this season, I made it to Gold III on my InvestYGator account in both Modern and Wild, while I only got into Diamond III in Modern on my main account. I spent the last few days of the season trying to get up to Diamond in Wild, but stalled out in Gold I. I got quite a few chests on my alternate account, but only Silver quality, while I got a much smaller number of Diamond chests on my main account:
All in all, a tough season, but a fairly lucky one in terms of rewards, with a lot of legendary cards from pack openings and reward chests. No real plans for the upcoming season, other than to do the usual grind and hope for decent rewards. And, that’s about it for the first half of June!
