Welcome to another article where I write about my journey playing Splinterlands! This was a quiet week in terms of gameplay changes, with just some clean up to land and some minor bug fixes. All told, this seemed like a tougher season than the previous one, taking until almost the end to get back into Diamond league.
I did take a look at what I’ll need for land to optimize production, which is half a million Dark Energy Crystals (DEC) and 65 max level cards. That’s a good bit more than I’ve got, so I’ll either need to sell some expensive cards for cheaper workers or convert a lot of my Splintershard tokens (SPS) to DEC. There are still a few months until land 1.5 comes out for me to figure that out, and hope to get some gold foil reward cards to use for land.
Speaking of which, let’s move onto a breakdown of the last week of the season:
Daily Quest Rewards:
Daily Quest # 926. My main account playing in Gold league got Earth Focus. I received 190 (22 + 168) Merits, 2 Swamp Spitters (common monster), 2 War Pegasus (rare monster), and a gold foil Terraceous Grunt (common monster)!
InvestYGator, my Silver league alternate account, got Defend Focus. I got 1.373 (0.034 + 0.075 + 0.185 + 1.038 + 0.041) SPS, 32 (14 + 18) Merits, 1 Gold potion, 2 Coastal Sentries (common monster), and an Iziar (legendary monster)!
Daily Quest # 927. Got Disable Focus. I received 2.079 (0.349 + 1.73) SPS, 5 Gold potions, a Drybone Barbarian (common monster), and 2 Wily Coyotians (common monster).
InvestYGator got Disable Focus. I got 0.58 (0.074 + 0.364 + 0.065 + 0.031 + 0.046) SPS, 1 Legendary potion, 2 (1 + 1) Gold potions, 7 Merits, a Ravenhood Warden (rare monster), and 2 Pyrewatch Devils (rare monster).
Daily Quest # 928. Got Stealth Focus. I received 1.705 (1.385 + 0.169 + 0.151) SPS, 123 (56 + 67) Merits, 21 (11 + 10) Legendary potions, 6 Gold potions, and 4 Venari Marksrats (rare monster).

Daily Quest # 931. Got Anti Magic Focus. I finally made it back into Diamond league and got 9.517 SPS, 12 Legendary potions, and 1299 (1187 + 112) Merits.
InvestYGator got Fire Focus. I received 0.616 (0.086 + 0.036 + 0.461 + 0.033) SPS, 4 (3 + 1) Legendary potions, 4 (3 + 1) Gold potions, 112 (16 + 96) Merits, and 2 Possessed Puppets (common monster).
Daily Quest # 932. Got Anti Melee Focus. I got 2.673 (0.865 + 0.956 + 0.852) SPS, 44 (24 + 20) Gold potions, 515 Merits, and 3 gold foil Madcap Magus (rare monster)!
InvestYGator got Dragon Focus. I received 0.052 SPS, 4 (1 + 3) Gold potions, 2 Fungus Flingers, 3 (2 + 1) Swamp Spitters, 2 Wily Coyotian, 2 Coastal Sentries, and a Madcap Magus.
Daily Quest # 933. Got Anti Melee Focus. I got 18 Legendary potions, 21 Gold potions, 112 Merits, 9 Wily Coyotians, 11 Imperial Knights, 4 Helios Matriarchs (rare summoner), and a Chaos Legion pack!

I ended up with 44 chests per account this season, which was down a bit from the prior season. It may have just been when I was playing, but I ran into a lot fewer low-rated bots in Silver than in the past. That is to say, the competition in general seemed a bit tougher.
No real tournaments or trading, though I do need to start thinking about what I’m going to do for populating the land plots I own. There was supposed to be a payout of funds from the Chaos Legion pack pool I was in from the extra cards being rented/sold, but that has yet to happen and it’s been over a month since the release sold out. I was kind of hoping that would help pay for some of these future land workers.
Moving on, as usual I jumped up to Gold league at the end of the season on InvestYGator to get better seasonal chests. I also made it into Diamond on my main account, before resetting back into Gold against at the end of the season. Here’s what I got for my season rewards this time around:
There was no Town Hall last week due to the Easter holiday, so there hasn’t really been anything teased for the upcoming week. I expect land 1.5 will be the big focus for the next couple of months of development, but that probably won’t use the whole team, and other updates will happen in the interim. Hopefully I’ll also have better pack-opening luck next week!
