Welcome to the 100th article where I write about my journey playing Splinterlands! It has almost been two years now since I started writing these, and the past week or so has been one of the busiest for things going on sale in the game since Riftwatcher packs went on sale last week. This week both a new Ethereum based Splinterlands NFT was announced and had the rights to make a guaranteed purchase of one sold off, plus packs for the upcoming tower defense game put out by the company behind Splinterlands went on sale.
The above image covers most of the points of this new Runi card. They will only be selling 6,500 copies, at a price of $500 each. Though the 2,000 reservations they sold this past week, at a price of 100 Vouchers each, lowers the price to $250. I didn’t try to get a reservation, nor do I expect I will buy one of these cards, even though the custom art is cool.
As I’m belatedly working on this article, the game finally hit over 10 million Chaos Legion packs sold, or distributed as in-game rewards, and released the Conqueror Jacek air drop. I opened 100 packs, which I may cover in a side article, but I managed to open one copy of this new Fire summoner. He seems like he will be a good option with the +2 speed boost, though the random targets for ranged and magic are an interesting option.
I’m not going to get into the tower defense game, since there’s not much info about the game yet. I’ll try to write something up once it’s playable, but for now let’s move on to covering the past week of Splinterlands.

Guild Brawls:
Guild Brawl #104, playing Bronze League Gold Foil Only. The guild came in last place, with at least 3 people not submitting teams. Not a great showing for the guild. On an unrelated note, a fix was patched in this week letting historical battle links work again – so the game links in all my older articles should actually replay the battles now.
Vs. YOURFIEND of THE FIENDZONE – Opponent Fled
Vs. SPEEDMASTER69 of LANDLORDS
Vs. CHARLIEFOX1517 of THE BANTER CREW
Vs. JDGAMING22 of IMMORTAL PHOENIX

I also opened up one Gladiator pack:
The Rest:
No real trading or tournaments this past week. I did facilitate a few trades for people, but aside from buying some tower defense and Riftwatchers packs it has been a pretty quiet week on this front. Though, after opening 100 packs, I may have some extra cards to trade for next time.
I’ve once again been struggling in Gold league on my main, though Silver has been fairly easy going on my alternate account. I’m hoping that I can level up a few more cards and get back into Diamond in the second half of this season. Hopefully I can combine some of those Chaos Legion cards I opened to improve my deck.
That’s about it for this week. If you play, then I hope that you got lucky with your air drops. Thank you for reading, and I’ll be back next week with the season wrap up!
